Hotels, restaurants, stadiums, convention centers and arenas have an obligation to secure credit card data used in financial transactions. A security breach, especially involving credit card data, can result in monetary fines, devalued stock price, tarnished reputation, reduced customer loyalty and financial losses for you and your customer.
Adhering to the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) reflects an application of security best practices, reduces risk, and provides assurance for companies processing credit cards. Application of this industry standard strengthens a company's ability to resist a significant security breach that may result in unauthorized access and consequential inconvenience to customers.
Spend an hour with Newmarket International's guest speakers to learn essential data security principles for the hospitality industry.
In this 60 minute complimentary presentation, you learn answers to the following questions:
- What is the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS)?
- How does PCI impact you as a hospitality professional?
- What do sales and catering professionals need to know about PCI?
- What are the components of a sound data security policy and PCI compliance?
