Sol Meliá selects Newmarket International’s sales and catering solution Delphi®
Sol Meliá moves operations to Delphi to improve operational efficiencies and customer service.
London, England and Portsmouth, NH, USA – March 23, 2009 —Newmarket International, Inc., the leader insales and cateringsolutions for the hospitality industry, today announced Sol Meliá, the third largest luxury hotel chain in Europe, has implemented theDelphi sales and catering solutionat its 5-star hotel in Milan, Meliá Milano. Delphi was selected for its ability to optimize the catering and banquet sales.
With over 288 rooms and 13 meeting halls, Sol Meliá’s business was growing at a pace that required a technology solution to manage the catering and banquet operations. “We operated manually,” states Alessandro Misani, General Manager. “We could generate reports, but the data was not always accurate. With Delphi we will be able to monitor our business and react quickly and be effective in reacting to market needs.”
Misani also expects customer service to greatly improve as a result of implementing Delphi. The ability to better manage events and improve communications between Banquets and Sales will result in better event execution. The expected return on investment will be realized in the new revenues generated and improved profitability.
